batyr Australia Our programs address “the elephant in the room” in a unique and relatable way for young audiences, utilising trained speakers with a lived experience with mental ill health. We smash the stigma surrounding mental health and empower young people to reach out – building mental health literacy, improving help seeking, and connecting schools and students with pathways to care. batyr aims to engage, educate and empower young people and their support networks, giving them the knowledge and skills to lead mentally healthy lives.
Better Renting Better Renting is a community of renters working together for stable, affordable, and healthy homes.
Bosom Buddies ACT Inc Bosom Buddies provides patients and the community with support that is not provided elsewhere. Bosom Buddies is the only provider of patient aids and information to those undergoing treatment for breast cancer in the ACT and surrounding region.
Canberra City Care Canberra City Care (CCC) provides support for approximately 300 households across Canberra and some 60 volunteers make this possible. CCC has four main service streams: HandUp Food – which is a food pantry with basic grocery items, including bread, fresh vegetables and low cost meals prepared from our kitchen ReRuns Opportunity Shop – provides clothing and basic household items including toys and games for children and families. Harvest Garden and Kitchen – maintains an extensive community garden that supplies fresh produce directly into the food pantry and supplies the kitchen with fresh produce to support low cost meal preparation. Tech Shed – conducts computer recycling, repair and rebuilds of computers to support low income households with basic IT support and requirements. Sewing Group- Supply a range of clothing items into the Opportunity Shop and sew aprons and bags for other charity organisations.
Canberra Community Law Canberra Community Law is an independent community legal service. We provide holistic, flexible and accessible legal support to people facing barriers to accessing justice.. We specialize in human rights, discrimination, housing and Centrelink law.
Canberra PCYC Canberra PCYC provides leading and innovative services for young people and their families across the ACT.
Canberra Pet Rescue We rescue abandoned, abused and neglected pets in our community and find loving homes for them once they are rehabilitated. We also run our PerAssist program which provides emergency pet food and supplies to community members experiencing crisis.
Cancer Council ACT Cancer Council ACT is a non government not-for-profit community organisation that aims to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region. The Council depends largely on the generosity of the ACT and surrounding community providing donations and supporting fundraising initiatives.
Defence Force Welfare Australia We advocate to government on matters affecting the welfare of this group of Australians, including: ADF Pay and Conditions of Service Rehabilitation of Injured Veterans Compensation for Service Injuries Retirement and Superannuation Improving Service Delivery Veteran Recognition
Good Omen Goodeze Inc Good Omen Goodeze Inc (affectionately known as GOG) began life as a Canberra based community needle-craft group providing personalised hand crafted comfort ‘Goodies’, for patients and their loved ones in need of comfort or warmth in the Canberra Hospital. Our 'Goodies' are made from yarn donated by our members and members of the local community. We have proudly been supplying patients and families of the Canberra Health Services since May 2017 and the University of Canberra Hospital since 2019. This includes patients in all areas, with a special focus on the Intensive Care Unit, Aged Care and End of Life Care. In February 2019 we piloted a Knitting for Mindfulness Program within The Canberra Hospital and in late 2019 it was announced that our program would roll out throughout the Canberra Hospital as well as the University of Canberra Hospital. Unfortunately due to the Covid19 Pandemic, this was put on hold. In September 2020 GOG applied for and won a ‘Covid19 Mental Health Innovations Grant’ which gave us the opportunity to provide a similar wellness program to the wider Canberra Community.
Hands Across Canberra Hands Across Canberra helps to keep the wealth that is created locally within the local Canberra community. We exist to support, build capacity and empower local charities and community organisations.
Havelock Housing Association Havelock Housing Association (HHA), provides safe and secure homes to Canberra’s very low income earners, those with disability and those with high and complex service needs. We currently have around 400 tenants in 200 properties across the ACT. We provide an inclusive Community Development Program supporting our residents to sustain their tenancies and improve their overall well-being.
Marymead Marymead, a well-respected, not-for-profit organisation servicing the ACT and southern and western regional areas of NSW, has been delivering a range of high quality, family support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. With offices in Canberra and in NSW at Goulburn, Moruya, Young and Wagga Wagga, Marymead’s array of programs and services include child and family counselling, early intervention programs, Permanency Program (out of home care), post separation support, the Autism Centre, parent education groups, family and mental health support programs and contact and changeover services for separated parents in significant conflict. Marymead also offers innovative, person-centred support services for people with disability and their families. These services may be purchased through funds received under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and include short term accommodation, after-school care and school holiday programs, skills development, recreation groups and in-home support.
Menslink Menslink provide counselling to young guys between the ages of 10-25 and Mentoring to young guys between the ages of 10-16. We also provide Education programs to local Primary and High schools. All our services are at no charge to the client.
Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT) MIEACT creates a safe space for mental health education for all Canberra. We embrace lived experience to provide mental health education awareness programs in schools and the community to address stigma, increase knowledge and promote help seeking.
Meridian Incorporated Meridian is a community-controlled, peer-led organisation. We provide quality, accessible, and culturally safe mental health support and wellbeing services for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ+) communities.
Multicultural Hub Canberra Multicultural Hub Canberra is a leading provider of services to the Canberra community. We support migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to access the resources they need to thrive in our city, and to feel connected to their community. ​Our programs are all guided by our fundamental organisational values of respect, inclusion, and equality. Our passionate team of staff work closely with our clients across a broad range of programs, including youth services, employment support, aged care services, women's services, settlement services and more.

Newborn Intensive Care Foundation The Newborn Intensive Care Foundation is a local charity that raises money for hi-tech medical equipment, research and nurse education, not funded by Government, to help give the ACT region's critically ill new born babies, the best chance to lead healthy, normal lives. We are 100% voluntary with a policy of 'money raised in the region stays in the region'. What we provide helps to prevent brain damage, lung damage, cerebral palsy, blindness and a host of other complications in sick and premature new born babies.
Newborn Intensive Care Foundation We direct 100% of donations to purchase medical equipment, fund research and nurse education to ensure sick and premature newborn babies go home sooner and healthier.
Our Community Project Tender Funerals is a not-for-profit funeral service delivering personalised, meaningful and affordable funerals, ensuring those experiencing financial hardship are able to access these critical services.
OzHarvest OzHarvest is Australia's leading food rescue organisation. We rescue quality surplus food from businesses across the ACT and deliver this at no cost to charitable agencies feeding people in need.

Raise Foundation Raise Foundation has the vision to be a powerful mentoring movement creating thriving communities across Australia with the mission to positively impact youth wellbeing and engagement through early intervention mentoring programs in secondary schools. We are empowering young people to become resilient, capable and connected by ensuring that they feel heard, valued and supported. Our early intervention model helps to address significant social issues such as youth mental illness, social and emotional wellbeing, early school leaving, and youth unemployment. Over the last 12 years, we have connected almost 4,800 trained volunteer mentors with more than 6,300 young people. In 2021 alone, we are aiming to provide a Raise Mentor to 2,000 young people across NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, ACT.

The Early Morning Centre – UnitingCare Canberra City The Early Morning Centre provides a safe space for some of our city’s most vulnerable people. With the help of dedicated volunteers, we provide meals, facilities, support and facilitate healthcare, accommodation support and community services.
The Farm in Galong Limited Situated on 3 acres of heritage-listed property, the Farm in Galong is a relatively new service that commenced in November 2019, providing recovery focussed, strength-based and person centred care to women with AOD abuse. Counsellors work from a trauma informed perspective, aware of the correlation between substance abuse and other mental health issues, as well as family violence/breakdown, assault, grief & loss, child removal, negative interactions with the police/justice system, and complex trauma.
The Shepherd Centre The Shepherd Centre provides life-changing support and education for deaf children and their families. We teach children to speak and communicate so that they can overcome the disadvantages of their disability, and reach their full potential!
Women With Disabilities ACT (WWDACT) WWDACT is a systemic advocacy and peer support organisation for women, girls, feminine identifying and non-binary people with disability in the ACT region.
